Butter 1.25 sticks (leave butter out on counter to soften)
Brown sugar 5/8 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp
Egg 1
Vanilla 1 tsp
Flour 1 3/4 cup
Baking soda 5/8 tsp
Baking powder ¾ tsp
Chocolate chips 10 oz
3/4 tsp salt
With a hand or stand mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until light, fluffy and then some, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix to combine. Add vanilla, mix, then scrape down bowl. Sprinkle baking soda, baking powder and salt over dough and mix it until fully combined. Add the flour
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 20 minutes (up to 3 days)
Heat oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick baking mats
