About Mrs. Wenndt

This is my life

I have been a teacher for 22 years, all but 2 of them at ASFA. This year I will teach Geometry with Data Analysis, PreCalculus, and Personal Finance with Algebra. In the past I have taught every science you can imagine (No, really...7th grade, 8th grade, Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Space Science, Epidemiology...). I have taught Geometry for at least 10 years as well as Statistics, Prealgebra, and Personal Finance.

I graduated from ASFA in their first math/science class. I went on to earn a degree to teach all sciences 6-12 followed by a degree in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology. I have been certified to teach all high school maths as well. I have 2 additional certifications from NGPF in Investing Banking&Budgeting and have been awarded as a Changemaker in Personal Finance. I continue to work with NGPF, ECO Credit Union Foundation, and Fultondale Elementary School to bring personal finance into the lives of students at a young age by facilitating family game nights where the emphasis is on promoting positive family discussions of finance topics.

On a more personal note, I am a wife of 24 years and a mother of a 14 year old JCIB student. I am constantly learning new things. I enjoy reading, cross stitching, and knitting in my spare time. I recently taught myself to knit socks!
