Collaboration

*Develop frequent opportunities for student collaboration. Foster a community of learners in your classroom, such as through opportunities for non-academic interaction.

*In the hybrid environment, collaboration in a socially distant classroom will often work best digitally. Be sure that students who are at home also have the opportunity to collaborate with in-class students through video conferencing or the use of asynchronous tools.

*In a distance scenario, ensure that opportunities for collaboration continue. During live synchronous meetings, use breakout rooms or meet in small groups to collaborate. Use asynchronous tools that allow students to interact with one another. Treat asynchronous group projects like group projects assigned at school.
