Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Brady Neel and I am so excited to be your child’s math teacher this year! We are going to have a great year together. Math is my favorite subject, and I hope to share my love for math with your child this year! I will be back to school the first week of October. In the meantime, Ms. Beth will be teaching my class. She is a retired ASD teacher and will be an excellent addition to the Aquarian community. I am enjoying my time at home, but I am also so excited to come back to teach in October!
I am really looking forward to getting to know your child and your family. While I am so lucky to get to spend part of this year with your child, we all know the most important person in their life is YOU! You are their first teacher, their biggest cheerleader, and their most fierce advocate. Getting homework done each night, asking your child about their school day, checking over their papers and tests, and keeping an open line of communication with me are all ways you can help your child succeed. It is also very important that your child arrives at school on time each day.
Please look for a blue take-home folder to come home with your student every day. This is where you will find your child’s homework, graded papers, and any handwritten notes from me. We will start this the first day of math, so keep an eye out!
I spent some time over the summer preparing my website with Saxon materials, letters and information. Please check out my website for information on what your child is learning and what is coming up next!
If you need to get in touch with me, email is the best way to communicate (neel_brady@asdk12.org). I check it several times a day and will always get back to you within 48 hours, except over the weekend in which case I will get back to you on the next day of school. I will also use Remind sometimes for communication, and I believe you are all added to the math Remind already!
Let’s get ready for a wonderful year!
Sincerely,
Brady Neel
