I am a third-generation, born-and-raised Alaskan. I graduated from Palmer High School and continued on to the University of Georgia, where I received an undergraduate degree in marketing and interpersonal communications (Go Dawgs!). After I moved back home to Alaska I decided to enroll in Alaska Pacific University's Co-Op Teaching Program to receive my teaching certificate, which was the best decision ever! Since then I have also completed a master's program in Curriculum and Instruction. (You could say I like school!!)
I met my husband, Harley, while we were both working on the Alaska Railroad in 2013 and we got married in 2020. We have been puppy parents since 2019 when we added our dog Tipper to the family. Next came our puppy Teddy in the fall of 2022. Most recently, we became human parents in the spring of 2023 when our son, Archer, was born! Our little family loves living in Alaska and we try to get out to explore this great state as often as we can!
Working as a fifth grade teacher at Aquarian is a dream come true. I am so excited for this school year!
