Thank you so much for visiting my digital portfolio. I am ecstatic that you stopped by! Please explore each page on my site to learn more about me, my experience, and my professional philosophy.
I am an Application Specialist on the Application and Data Services team in Academy School District 20 Information Technology. I have worked diligently to take what I know about educational technology and apply it to IT while learning SQL and data management for digital integrations. I lead training initiatives and am a passionate, active member of the district Accessibility Steering Committee.
I was the Digital Learning Coach, Technology Coordinator, and Librarian/Innovation Specialist at Rampart High School in Academy School District 20 for the last 8 years, where I had the honor and pleasure of coaching teachers on best practices and instructional strategies and implementing purposeful technology in their classrooms. I also planned and implemented community events to encourage reading for pleasure and, in turn, increase literacy.
In addition to my passion for instructional technology, I am deeply committed to helping students prepare for life beyond high school. While serving on the ICAP committee at Vista Ridge High School, I collaborated with counselors and teachers to design and implement weekly College and Career Readiness (CCR) lessons for juniors. I believe in equipping students with the skills, tools, and confidence they need to explore pathways that align with their goals and strengths. Whether through digital innovation or CCR support, my work centers on helping every student find success beyond graduation.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise in education, and one of my favorite things is presenting at conferences across the state and nation. I have presented at multiple GAFE conferences, edCamps, the Pikes Peak Tutoring Conference, the Educating Children of Color Conference, and the eLearning Consortium Colorado.
I also strive to provide equitable and accessible learning and communication to all our students and staff. My mission is to ensure our students, staff, and families can access the tools and information they want and need.
When I am not working, I can be found spending time with my physics teacher husband, kind-hearted genius 1st grade son, and talented 22-year-old son. We like to play glow golf, eat tacos, go hiking, play board games, sing karaoke, travel, and much more!
Please enjoy touring my digital portfolio!
