The 3rd-6th graders are devouring all of the new titles I brought in during the month of September. I was thrilled the other morning when, after putting out 20 new books, I returned 2 hours later and all but 2 were gone!
The GNs I selected have been vetted on Common Sense Media, or by a local Children's Librarian who understands our Catholic values. I have also included transitional GNs that are more words than pictures.
In my book (ha!), when kids are excited about reading ANYTHING, it's a good thing.
If you have any suggestions for GNs or any books, please let me know. Gifts with an ASB dedication from your child are always welcome. ***Think about gifting their favorite book or book series on their birthday.

Last Spring the Kindergartners got to walk to the local public library where librarian Erica talked about their current topic- chicks! Students then explored the children's section and took home forms to get their own library cards.
