Overview: In the first grade, students work with iPads to further their understanding of the core curriculum. They learn the basic operations of an iPad and how to navigate within specific apps. Additionally, first graders learn to code with Scratch Jr. and use devices that attach to the iPads called Osmos to reinforce basic coding, spelling, math, and more!

Additionally, during the course of the year, first graders will learn the importance of the STEM process which teaches highly transferable skills. In our STEM Labs, they will go though the process of questioning, planning, designing, testing, revising, and reflecting.
