In the morning for coming to school your bus company will let you know what time and where your collection point will be.
When leaving school all buses depart from the bus bay at the end of the school day.
If you miss the bus it will be your parents responsibility to take you to school. If you are going to be late then please inform the school.
If you are absent due to illness your parent/carer should call or email the school to inform us that you will not be in.
If you have an appointment during the school day your parent/carer should contact the school to let us know what time the appointment will be and what time you will be collected. At the arranged time you should ask out of class and come to reception. Your parent/carer should come into reception to sign you out of school. You are not allowed to leave school without permission.

Our canteen is cashless and you should use your Young Scot Card. Our canteen is open before school to allow pupils to purchase breakfast. At break time for snacks and juice and at lunch time for a mixture of snacks, sandwiches and main meals. Key Staff
Make sure you have a suitable school bag to carry your books, and bring a pencil case with your pencils, pens, rubber, ruler, and sharpener. If you can bring a calculator too, that would be very useful (especially for Maths and Science!)
Prefects are senior students who are “on duty” around the school, helping pupils at interval and lunchtime and keeping an eye on what is going on.
Prefects are senior school students who will help you.
There are also Prefects on the buses who check pupils’ behaviour and report to the staff in school if there are any problems.
If you are late for any reason - your bus was late, you slept in, you took too long to walk to school, you were at an appointment - you must report to the school office before going to class.
If you feel ill during class, please speak to your class teacher who will inform the office or first aid. If you are too ill to stay in school, then staff will phone your parents or your emergency contact and ask them to come and collect you.
It is essential that you provide the school with the name of a friend or relative who can be contacted in an emergency if/when it is not possible to get in touch with your parents/guardians.
Do not call your parents and ask them to collect you as you must not go home without permission.
You need to collect forms from reception for your parent/guardian to sign and then you should bring your medicine to school with the completed forms.
All pills and medicine will be kept in the medical room and arrangements will be made for you to take these as required.
If you lose anything such as books, jackets or PE kit, ask at the office or the janitors office, or at the P.E. Department.
If you lose your bus pass, go to reception and somebody will help you.
The transport system works extremely well. If however there is an occasion where your bus does not arrive or is running late you should not wait more than 20 minutes from your allocated collection time.
If the school becomes aware of any transport issues this will be communicated via text and email through our GroupCall system.
