GLOW and the Google Suite

As a Google Reference School all members of the Mackie Academy learning community have access to Glow and use it on a regular basis.  As well as accessing GLOW from your personal device you can also do so from the XBox and PS4:

Google Classroom is an integral part of Learning and Teaching at Mackie Academy and is the preferred platform for staff and learners to ensure continuity of learning and teaching. Staff and learners are familiar with it and have access on any internet connected device in or outwith school.  Please note that Parent/Guardian access to a learner's Google Classroom is not supported. 

Google Classroom will be the main way in which materials and resources will be shared with you. It is also an excellent platform for returning work and communicating with your teachers.

Classroom Stream

The Stream gives you an overview of posts that have been made. Your teacher may also occasionally post notices here, though all work set should be done via the Classwork page. 

Classwork Page

The Classwork page is where Materials, Quizzes, Questions and Assignments will be set. If you are submitting work for feedback, it should always be submitted to the Classwork post that the work was set on.

Keeping an eye on multiple Google Classrooms can be a challenge! To make it easier to track what is happening in your classrooms and when, we recommend using the Google Calendar App on your personal device. This integrates with your Google Classrooms and displays what is due on any day.
