Mackie Academy's new website
This feedback reflects the key points raised by students and parents through their feedback and what we, as a school, are going to do moving forwards. These actions have now been taken forward in our learning community.
This is what students have agreed to, through the US Time consultation. as acceptable use of the toilet spaces. If individuals or groups of students cannot manage this they will be spoken to initially, given an opportunity not to place themselves in the situation again and asked to sign an agreement around their use of the space. Parents will be made aware. Should problems persist further actions will be taken.
We want to educate our young people around hygiene and health in the toilet spaces. Vaping is a significant issue and where a young person is found vaping parents will be made aware and a courting exclusion letter will be sent. If the problem persists the young person may find themselves on a period of exclusion.
Aberdeenshire Council policy does not allow smoking or vaping on site for anyone.
