Mackie Academy would like to thank all our partners for valuable collaborations. Our shared vision of young people being at the heart of what we do has given quality experiences and exposures to the world beyond our classroom doors.  We continue to learn together and seek to improve the collaborations to deliver more value for our young people.  We hope you can join us.

We loved having our game show 'What's My Job?' as a headline activity during day 2 of the new S1 transitional programme at Mackie Academy.

A full day of activities exploring & practicing skills.

The skills were brought to life by our amazing guests, who the pupils got to grill with some questions - but our partners could only answer YES or NO.

The pupils had to guess the industry and jobs the guest worked in after doing some detective work.

The pupils were incredible at asking about skills and linking them to pathways.

The guests were amazing at the final reveal where they came into meet the pupils kitted out in their uniform. A great way to round off the day!

The message was clear - practice your skills and your pathways are wide open!

Thank you Emma from Police Scotland, Spencer from Stagecoach, Tammy & Rachel from WM Donald, Ian from Excelerate - The Wood Foundation, Robbie & Michael from Active Aberdeenshire.

The Haven in Stonehaven is a fantastic community partner who were represented in this years YPI Scotland by pupils at Mackie Academy.

At our final, we got to watch a wonderful interpretation of who they are and what they do.

Although this entry didn't win on the night, it was a great piece that our partner has shared across media channels and one which the pupils should be very proud

of.

The Haven Explained - YPI video by Mackie Academy pupils

The video for 'The Haven' caught the attention of the wider YPI national team and 2 of the pupils, Meghan and Chloe, who also contended with exams at the time, agreed to make a short video celebrating 15 years of YPI in Scotland and 15 years of Mackie Academy participation.

This video was played in June's National YPI celebration event at Perth concert hall in front of more than 1000 people.

We are incredibly proud to support YPI at Mackie Academy and of the pupils work to celebrate a great landmark, .
