Our pupils launched into their IDL by looking at some themed experiences such as, rides, lands, restaurants and much more. Pupils had the opportunity to write down what they liked and what they wondered about all of the experiences. There are some samples below of the experiences pupils analysed.Â
Pupils then designed their themed experiences in small groups, considering their unique selling point (USP), their target audiences, how they would promote and market their experience to the public and finally, how they would pitch their experience to a panel of judges. Pupils worked alongside Pam from Aberdeen University Business school to learn about marketing and promotional, and also alongside Elizabeth from AccelerateHER to learn about writing and delivering an engaging pitch. Below you find our groups of theme park creators and the experiences they designed...enjoy!Â
Our pupils had the opportunity to showcase their experiences and the skills they developed through their IDL experience to a panel of judges. We were excited to be joined by judges from Aberdeen Business School, AccelerateHER, The Wood Foundation, KR Group and Kemnay Academy. Our pupils presented confident and professional pitches which impressed all of our judges
