Through their projects in this IDL, pupils have developed their existing knowledge of our local area and worked on ways to share this with others in the community. During the launch event, pupils pored over several maps of areas local to Kemnay Academy, identifying points of interest and stating areas that they 'liked' and areas that they 'wondered' more about.

Pupils then worked in groups to research and share information about their chosen local area; Kemnay Skatepark, Bennachie, Hall Forest Castle, Kintore Businesses, Football Skills, River Don, Blackburn and Caskieben.
