Higher Mathematics focuses on a number of key themes from National 5 Mathematics, namely:

• Algebraic thinking
  (brackets, factorising, indices, trig. identities, equations, changing the subject of a formula)

• Geometry
  (straight line, quadratics, trig. graphs)

• Number skills
  (fractions, surds, indices)

Note that not all National 5 Mathematics skills are relevant to Higher Mathematics.
Percentages, statistics, volumes, trig. rules & arcs/sectors do not appear in the Higher curriculum.
