US Time Representative

As an US Time Representative you will have the opportunity to represent your US Time class in a discussion forum focusing on key school issues.

Pupils will have to work together with other representatives, collaborate and bring back any key matters to their US Time group.

BGE Visitor Ambassador

As a BGE Visitor Ambassador you will have the opportunity to support and represent Mackie Academy when external visitors come to the school. You will be tasked with providing school tours, engaging in focus groups and making sure all visitors feel welcomed.


Additionally, as a BGE Visitor Ambassador you will also have the opportunity to support parents evenings. This will include welcoming parents when they sign in and making sure they find the right location for each department, helping to serve tea/ coffee to parents and collecting feedback from parents on their experience using iPads.

Primary 7 Transition Helper

This is an opportunity for S3 pupils to assist with various Primary 7 transition events including the induction days and the extended transition events. As a transition helper you will be involved in ensuring pupils understand where key areas of the school are, helping them get to and from classes and making sure they feel welcomed to Mackie Academy. Additionally, as a Transition Helper you may also have the opportunity to support the evening sessions where you will be able to support students in their “Taste of Mackie” sessions with various teambuilding activities.

Reduce, Reuse & Recyle Group Member

In S1-S3 all students have the opportunity to join the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle group. This group are a S1-S3 group who are actively working towards improving our environmental impact and raising awareness of key issues. They have successfully campaigned to improve the recycling facilities within the school and are currently working with local community groups in achieving ‘Plastic Free’ status for the school and Stonehaven.
