We believe the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God. Human authors, under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote every word. As such, we affirm that the Bible is without error and is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and life.
We believe in one true and personal God who exists eternally in three distinct yet equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is fully divine, co-equal in power, authority, and glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the virgin-born Son of God. He lived a sinless life, died as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world, was buried, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. He is the only Savior and mediator between God and mankind.
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells and regenerates all believers in Jesus Christ. He assures us of our salvation, leads us into truth, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and glorifies Christ. The Holy Spirit also empowers believers for service, provides spiritual gifts, and comforts us in all circumstances.
We believe that all people are created in the image of God and were designed for fellowship with Him. However, through willful sin and disobedience, humanity became separated from God. Apart from divine grace, people are unable to restore this relationship through their own efforts.
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, made possible through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross. Forgiveness of sin and eternal life are offered freely to those who place their faith in the finished work of Christ, His death and resurrection as full payment for their sins. Salvation cannot be earned by human effort, it is a gift from God through His Son, Jesus.
We believe in the Church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. Its members are those who have placed their faith in Him. The Church exists to glorify God by loving Him, obeying His Word, and spreading the gospel to all people as instructed by the Great Commission.
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal Kingdom, the bodily resurrection of the dead and the final judgment. Each individual’s eternal destination, either in heaven or hell, is determined by their response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
These objectives reflect our commitment to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and Christ-centered community:
For every student to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
For each student to know God’s Word and apply it to their daily lives.
To love God and love others as God commands us to do through the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
To provide a safe, well disciplined environment, which encourages mutual respect for one another as per the Student Code of Conduct.
To encourage within each student the development of personal and spiritual growth through academic excellence, setting goals, self-esteem, and respect for themselves and others.
To challenge students with rigorous academics in all grades and subjects.
To provide safety protocols that promote classroom and community safety.
To provide a qualified, well-trained staff whose continued spiritual and professional growth and development are promoted.
ACCEPTANCE
We reach out to others as God reaches out to us. We are commanded to love others as Christ loves us and them, while learning to separate behavior from the value of the person.
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10 (NIV)
COMMUNITY
We are created by God for genuine connection with Himself and with others. God exists in, and His Word is given in, the context of community and so we honor Him as we live this out.
“Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (MSG)
FAITHFULNESS
We are called to demonstrate a lifestyle of faith in Jesus on a consistent basis. We must understand that this value precedes fruitfulness, both of which are required of all Christ-followers.
“But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.” Galatians 5:22-23 (MSG)
AUTHENTICITY
We are continually learning to be who God has created us to be. While acknowledging we’ve not arrived, nor will we until we see Jesus face to face, we strive forward in growth and reflecting our Creator.
“Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse…” Philippians 4:8 (MSG)
COMPASSION
We fully involve ourselves in the well-being of others. Knowing that as we surrender to Christ, He is able to not only love us, but love others through us.
“You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Colossians 3:12 (GNT)
EXCELLENCE
We take the time and effort to do things in a Christ-honoring manner. While understanding it does not mean perfection, it does mean doing and giving our best.
“Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ. ” Colossians 3:23-24 (MSG)
SERVANTHOOD
We reveal the true nature of Jesus as we seek to serve, not to be served. Understanding that how we serve others reflects how we serve Him.
“…Whoever would be great among you must serve and minister. Whoever wants to be great among you must be slave of all. Even the Son of Man came not to be served but to be a servant—to offer His life as a ransom for others.” Mark 10:43-45 (VOICE)
