To ensure clear and consistent communication, Arundel Christian School utilizes a variety of platforms that provide families with a full view of their child’s educational experience.
Teachers are not able to leave their classrooms to speak with parents by phone during the school day. If you need to contact your child’s teacher, please do so by email. This allows the teacher to be aware of your questions or concerns and respond appropriately. If your concern cannot be addressed by email, the teacher will schedule a meeting with you and their department director as needed.
Please do not approach staff in the parking lot or other informal settings to discuss classroom matters. For the privacy and professionalism of all, we ask that all communication regarding school-related concerns be directed through the appropriate channels.
ACS faculty and staff do not share personal cell phone numbers as a form of communication with families. All school-related communication will take place through the following official platforms:
Gradelink – Student Information System
This is where all student grades are recorded. Families can view assignments, academic progress, and the school newsletter through this platform.
Email – Primary Communication Tool
Parents can expect weekly email updates from department directors and core subject teachers. These updates will include information on upcoming events, major assignments, and weekly academic focus areas. Please ensure the school has your current email address and check it regularly. Teachers will respond during business hours, and are not expected to email in the evenings or outside of contract hours.
LiveSchool – Behavior Management
LiveSchool communicates student behavior, including both leadership points and demerits. Comments related to these will be visible within the app and not sent separately by email. Major behavior concerns will be addressed in a joint email from the teacher and department director.
SmartPass – Digital Hall Pass and Student Safety Tool
This platform helps monitor how students use their non-instructional time and tracks out-of-classroom activity. It provides increased safety and accountability by allowing staff to know each student’s location during the school day.
Google Classroom – Learning Management System
All graded assignments, descriptions, and rubrics can be found here. Students submit their digital work through this platform and are expected to monitor it regularly for updates.
GroupMe – Parent Communication Forum
This group messaging platform allows parents to connect with each other and the department director. Please do not use this space for private or sensitive concerns. Misuse of the forum may result in removal from the group.
All communication from both the school office and staff will take place through these platforms. Families are expected to spend approximately 30 minutes each evening supporting their child’s homework and reviewing these communication tools.
We ask that all communication between home and school be respectful and constructive. Any use of profanity, threats, or aggressive language directed at ACS staff is not acceptable and may result in dismissal from the school.
When raising a concern or asking a question, we encourage the use of “I” statements. This promotes clear communication and helps avoid misunderstandings that may arise from speaking on behalf of others. Thank you for partnering with us to make Arundel Christian School a supportive and respectful learning community.

Digital Accountability Requirement
To support our mission of cultivating Christ-centered leaders, ACS requires all students in grades 4–12 to have screen accountability software installed on their personal devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. This requirement promotes integrity, protects students from harmful content, and reinforces responsible digital citizenship both at school and at home.
While Covenant Eyes is our primary recommendation, families may choose an alternative that provides comparable levels of monitoring, filtering, and accountability.
Approved options include:
Covenant Eyes
Everaccountable
Bark
Canopy
Please Note: ACS does not require access to student reports. However, parents must provide confirmation that an approved accountability tool is active on their child’s devices.
Arundel Christian School is a 501(c)(3) organization. As a private school affiliated with a religious organization, Arundel Christian School cannot receive any financial support from state/federal tax revenues or bonds, as do public schools. As such, the school must rely on families, friends, alumni, and corporations for support. Fundraising provides funds for our general operations as well as items that are beneficial to the student body which might not be covered by regular tuition and are considered unrestricted.
With that in mind, the school sponsors several fundraisers throughout the school year. Parents are required to participate in all fundraising for the school each school year. Fundraising information will be sent home with your child prior to each event, and your participation is encouraged and appreciated.
The Family Engagement Network (FEN) is a committee of parents who work together with the administrative team in all fundraising efforts to support ACS’ annual operating expenses and/or special school projects. All parents are encouraged to actively participate in the monthly FEN meetings held on 1st Wednesdays of each month.
Please Note: All gifts given to ACS are tax-deductible.
AM Club & PM Club
AM Club opens at 6:30AM and ends at 8:05AM. PM Club begins at 3:30PM and ends promptly at 5:30PM. The earliest time that a student can be dropped off without using AM Club is 8:05AM. The latest a student can be picked up without using PM Club is 3:00PM. If a student is NOT picked up as a car rider (and is not enrolled in PM Club) they will need an emergency contact to be at the since PM Club classes are at capacity.
A fee of $3.00 per minute will be charged to any parent whose child is picked up after 5:30PM. This will be due at pick up by cash, check, and credit card.
Any parent who is consistently late picking their child up from PM Club will forfeit their child’s position in the program. Parents must pre-register their children before they can be placed in AM & PM Club. AM & PM Club registration is completed in each child’s Financial Contract; therefore, adding a child into both or either program will require an update to the Financial Contract. Parents who wish to utilize AM & PM Club for their children for occasional use must notify the office in advance and will need to pay $10/hour for the day the service is used. (There is no prorating. If any student is using this for 30 minutes, parents will still need to pay $10.) Payment will need to be made each day utilized if there is space.
ALL PAYMENT PLANS MUST BE ARRANGED WITH THE FINANCIAL OFFICE BEFORE A CHILD IS ENROLLED IN AM CLUB OR PM CLUB.
In the event of inclement weather, AM & PM Club will follow in accordance to how ACS makes its closing decisions. If there is any kind of morning delay, there will be NO AM Club. If school is closed early or if afternoon activities are canceled due to inclement weather, there will be NO PM Club will also be closed.
Parents should monitor local news bulletins; however, the school will notify you whenever school closes early because of inclement weather. It is the parents’ responsibility to make sure there is a “backup” transportation plan in effect for such emergency situations. The school must be provided with at least two (2) emergency contacts so that your child can be picked up if you are unavailable.
Parents are to follow the drop-off and pick-up procedures as detailed in our Parking Lot Policy.
To ensure a safe and focused environment for all students, we kindly ask that no toys be brought into the AM or PM Club. This helps us maintain an atmosphere where students can engage fully in the activities we have planned and prevents any distractions or potential conflicts. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our club sessions productive and enjoyable for everyone.
