Arts For Empowerment (A4E) expands its reach through a high school mentoring program designed to support students interested in careers related to education, the performing arts, and nonprofit work. This initiative aims to guide students through their academic and career journeys while fostering a sense of purpose and empowerment.
One-on-One Guidance and Student Workshops: A4E instructors engage in weekly one-on-one meetings or through student workshops.Workshops are conducted in-person or one-on-one meetings through student via platforms like Google Meets. The meetings serve as opportunities for students to discuss their aspirations, concerns, and progress toward their academic and career goals. Through these discussions, students receive personalized guidance and support tailored to their individual needs, interests, or projects.
Students are also invited into CPS schools where we teach our programs to co-teach alongside an A4E teacher. This gives the student a chance to serve their community and see if they may be interested in the fields of education, the arts, or not-for-profit work as their career choice. This program is perfect for final individual or group service projects.
