Shared Values Statement

We honor and recognize our diverse learning community because all students learn differently, we provide multiple means of engagement and expression. We recognize that when students have choices their engagement deepens. We believe that participation in real-world projects and inquiry-based learning creates engagement and agency in all students. We believe learning is a social activity that provides opportunities to develop cooperative and leadership skills.

Core Practices

1. Learning opportunities are designed for maximum student choice and expression.
2. Learners are empowered to be reflective about their progress.
3. Class activities and sources of information will be varied so that they can be: personalized to learners, culturally and socially relevant and appropriate.

Smart Goal

We will optimize individual choice and autonomy so that students compile portfolios of self-selected work showing highest quality learning.
