We believe the involvement of parents and families in their children’s education is critical to student’s academic success and social-emotional well-being.Our goal is to communicate effectively and incorporate family expertise using collaborative methods. We celebrate our diversity through school events by fostering connections, relationships, and fun.
Our Goal is to be a Welcoming School to all families:
We believe Wildwood is a school where parents are welcomed, valued, and involved in our learning community.
Communication:
We believe Wildwood is a school where educators communicate regularly with parents around children's school lives. *See smart goal
Parent Expertise:
Parents are encouraged to come to Wildwood to share their talents, passions, and the perspectives of their children. We can only understand the whole child by spending time with their family.
Family Collaboration:
Wildwood is a school where parents and educators work collaboratively and share their knowledge to best support the child. When teachers and families collaborate to strategize how to meet student needs, kids benefit.
Differentiation:
Wildwood should have a multi-tiered system of family engagement related to the student level of need. Some families need more contact than others. Educators and families engage to ensure that standards of collaboration are met and expectations are clear.
Every quarter, we want to make an effort to understand parents’ perceptions of progress. The feedback will be monitored in order to achieve the goal that all families are heard.
