The Wildwood School community provides a safe and nurturing culture in which to learn and grow. Along with parents and families, we aspire to teach students skills and strategies to become healthy, productive and respectful world citizens. Staff models and provides opportunities for students to develop self-regulation skills and the characteristics of respect, responsibility, courage, empathy, and kindness.
1) Shared K-6 social emotional learning curriculum that includes self-regulation, conflict resolution, and social thinking* skills
2) Restorative Practices, which strengthen trusting relationships between individuals, are used proactively to build culture and community in learning spaces throughout the school
3) Regular school wide celebrations and monthly “spirit” days
4) Consistent implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) Framework across the school
5) First six weeks of school and after vacation tune up lessons about community and relationship building.
Each classroom will use Restorative Practices (RP) to proactively build culture and community throughout the school.
