Pop-Ups: Web browsers now automatically block pop-up windows and usually ask for permission. Only allow during specific times if the pop-up is needed.
Most dangerous pop-up: When it won't stop even if you close it. Try Alt+F4 or the power button to prevent any viruses.
Ads: Advertisements make websites money. Ads don't reveal unsafe sites, but if they are too intrusive, then beware. Adblockers can stop ads from being shown on websites or even in videos.

Downloading Viruses or Malware
Don't open strange downloads
Avoid sketchy websites!
especially *.exe files (viruses)
Sites that have illegal movies, music, images, and files often carry viruses. Also, when people get hacked, they send you a single link that usually leads to a virus download.
Virus: a small program that attaches to programs to mess up your computer's software
Malware: software that's meant to damage or corrupt a computer. Try Alt+F4 (close window) or the power button to prevent any viruses.
Phishing for Information
Trying to steal personal information like name, usernames, passwords, addresses, and credit card information.
Common: Collect email addresses and passwords
How? Fill out information on a website or click on links in a sketchy email
Redirects: Some websites like Ad.fly are hosting sites for files. Be careful that you don't download a fake file. Watch what you press and make sure it's a download button, not a redirect to a dangerous website.
