Tanya has spent her career championing sustainable building design. From her first role at an electric utility provider to her recent senior roles consulting for large national organizations and the electric transmission council in Edmonton, Tanya has seen the evolution of sustainable design practice across Western Canada.
Her multifaceted career spans from promoting sustainability through stakeholder engagement, workshops, speeches, and presentations; to developing and implementing strategic plans and advocating for practical sustainable practices within Alberta. She has been the Executive Director, Alberta Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and spent 17 years engaged with the CaGBC’s annual sustainable building symposium.
Tanya is inspired by connecting the natural world to the built environment, and creating energy conscious and efficient buildings.
David Dodge is the producer and host of the www.GreenEnergyFutures.ca multi-media series of more than 170 documentaries on green energy technologies, projects, entrepreneurs and leaders in Canada. You can hear his features on CKUA Radio in Alberta. David is also the Chair of the Board of Energy Efficiency Alberta and Co-chair of Edmonton’s Energy Transition Advisory Committee.
David is an environmental journalist and a photojournalist who has worked for newspapers, published magazines and was the production manager for a Canadian nature publisher. He produced more than 350 award-winning EcoFile radio programs on sustainability for the CKUA Radio network. He has has worked for numerous non-profit organizations such as the Pembina Institute, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society and Greenlearning.ca
David has been an active volunteer in his own community league for 20 years and served as the president of the Edmonton Federation of 157 Community Leagues in Edmonton and most recently completed a solar project at Evansdale Community League in his neighbourhood.

Ian Storey, P.Eng. is an award winning industry expert honored with the Leadership Award by Efficiency Nova Scotia for his contribution and influential impact on the Energy Efficiency Industry. Previous accomplishments include being recognized by the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association as the recipient of the prestigious Don Harrison Energy Champion Award for his outstanding commitment to energy management.
