Alberta Education’s commitment to grant funding has already allowed 69 Alberta schools to install solar panels. These grants come with the requirement for schools to create educational activities for students and opportunities for the local school community to learn about the installation. In this session you’ll hear from Alberta Education about the program and its links to the curriculum, AND about some top-notch education and outreach programs designed to leverage this technology and help students - and adults! - learn about solar power, alternative energy, and leaving a lower-carbon footprint.
