How many students or teachers really understand how their school works? Where does the school’s energy come from, and how is it used? Where does our waste go once we put it in the bin? Every school building provides an opportunity to engage educators and students around such questions - and create our future sustainability leaders. This session will outline key programs and approaches used in some leading-edge Alberta schools and school divisions that leverage their school buildings and their operations and maintenance professionals to help students become more ecologically aware, socially just, and economically responsible, creating synergy between green students and Greener Facilities!
