Students may come to the library by getting a pass from library staff before the desired period begins. The best time to get passes is before school, as seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. The number of passes per period is determined by classes scheduled and staffing availability.
Report to your directed study or to Old Hall for attendance and have your pass signed by the teacher. Upon arrival in the library, leave your pass on the attendance counter and sign in next to your name.
Passes are not required to use the library before or after school.
Students on “senior privilege” or “independent study” are not required to get passes in advance, as long as seating is available, but must sign in with library staff. You are encouraged to get a pass in advance, however, as seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Students who leave the library prior to the end of the period must sign out with library staff.
Students are expected to follow all school rules for acceptable behavior. They are expected to treat library materials, space, and staff with respect. Disruptive students will be asked to leave.
Computers are available for research and school work. Violations of the Acceptable Use Policy will result in losing library computer privileges.
No food or drink is allowed. Water is acceptable in closed containers.
