We are huge supporters of reading and believe every reader deserves the perfect book! Our borrowing practices are designed to grow right alongside our readers, matching their increasing responsibility in caring for and keeping track of their awesome library haul.
The Basics: All library books are due one week after check out.
How Many? Typically students can check out 1-2 books a week for grades K-2 and more for grades 3-5. If they had a long overdue list, we will hold books for them until they return overdue books or confirm that they have been lost.
Need a Little Extra Time? No worries! Readers can easily renew a book if they need a few more days to finish that amazing story.
No Fines! Life happens! If a book gets loved a little too hard (oops!) or takes an unexpected adventure and can't be found, please just let the library staff know as soon as you can. We're here to help keep the reading flowing!
Found a Lost Book? Found a Dallin Library book in the midst of spring cleaning or decluttering? Please return it and we will add it back into our catalog.
Damaged Book? We appreciate your thoughtfulness in trying to repair a torn page or damaged library book. We kindly ask that you simply send damaged books back to the library and alert us. We have a book hospital where we repair books.
