Discover, Connect, and Read: The Dallin Library Experience
Our school library provides Dallin students with access to a vibrant collection of over 9,000 books!
The Dallin Library Team goes beyond the shelves—we collaborate closely with teachers, coordinate enriching guest author book talks, offer personalized book recommendations, and build engaging curated reading lists for our community.
Students attend weekly library classes following a set curriculum. These dynamic lessons include spirited read-alouds, collaborative group discussions, essential library literacy instruction, and related assignments. Every class concludes with dedicated time for independent browsing, selecting, and checking out books to foster a love of reading.
Ms. Melissa Maldonado
Ms. M grew up on the Texas-Mexico border and has lived in Cambridge for the last 18 years with her husband, three sons, and beloved dog. She spent the last 3 years working at a high school library. While she loved working with teenagers, she is thrilled to join the Dallin School community.
When she isn't surrounded by books, Ms. Maldonado loves Rock En Espanol and is a medium format photographer, quilter, and baker. She is a co-founder of a Cookie Club, a baking club that has been meeting since 2019 to bake its way through entire cookbooks! Naturally, she is an avid collector of cookbooks.
Mrs. Daniell Jenson
This is Mrs. Jensen's seventh year working as an APS Library Paraprofesional and her first at Dallin. She is passionate about picture books, and believes some of the world’s greatest artists are children’s book illustrators and authors. Ms. Jensen loves to share her excitement about books and enjoys hearing children share their literary enthusiasm with each other. She has been known to sing, dance, and speak in silly voices during library read-alouds on occasion.
