School librarians and library paraprofessionals are a dynamic mix of educators, program managers, and support staff.
We are essentially running a vibrant learning space while also teaching students how to navigate it, and maintaining our information resources—it's like being a teacher and a shopkeeper all at once.
Parent volunteers are an essential part of our library's success. They generously donate their time and skills to support a wide variety of tasks.
Each quarter there's an opportunity to volunteer with new quarterly rotating classes in K-2. Volunteers assist in shelving books, staffing the circulation desk, doing read alouds (a volunteer favorite), assisting students, and other library tasks as they arise.
