Our group wrote an original song with lyrics that are inspired from the primary source that describes the negative effects of World War One.

My project is a rap on the war saving stamps that people were paying for thinking they were supporting their family in the war.
I performed “Over There” by George M. Cohan, a very popular song in the American public and army during WWI. I feel this relates to my primary source, a New York newspaper announcing war.

Emma, Eliana, and I wanted to display the music from World War One in Virginia and in France. As such, we chose one song by Chris Smith & James Reese Europe, from Virginia, and another by Francis Poulenc, from France. Unfortunately, due to school closing, we were unable to get together to edit our video together, but I recorded the cello and violin part for "Rapsodie Negre", and Eliana recorded the violin part for "Ballin' The Jack Fox Trot".
Vocaroo doesn't quite fit on this page, but it is a narration of my primary source, which was an interview with a Black soldier working with the French.
