Selecting and researching primary source documents was the first step of the journey for Appomattox Regional Governor's School and Lycée Margueritte Students in developing a deeper understanding of World War I. By engaging in news papers, journals, letters, music, propaganda, and so many other types of sources our students were transported back in time and developed a more complex view of the relationship between France and the United States of America. Special care was taken to examine the role of geography on the primary source and the viewpoint of the document within that lens.
