Project Dates will be posted here but Art projects will take us 4-5 in class work days to start and complete. Students should plan to try and be here every day but will be able to use Lyceum or morning tutoring to catch up should they get sick or have to miss school.
Project Absence Policy - Because 4-5 days is a long project time, sometimes absences are expected. Students may work through art history should they have 1 or more absences but must turn in the project by the end of our art history presentation.

The student must be able to create an entirely abstract artwork (color is optional) using the elements of art we've discussed in class.

The student must be able to create an entirely contour line drawing of 5 objects using the skills we've built in art.
The criteria are as follows:

Composition (Portrait vs Landscape, fill up the page)
Accuracy of Observation (pencil measuring)
Use of Materials (H pencils to sketch, B to darken)

The student must be able to create and use a grid to transfer a small collage artwork onto a much bigger paper. Students will learn about color and color mixing using oil pastels.
The criteria are as follows:
