Editor's Note

As the air grows cold and the menacing specters of final exams begin to haunt your dreams, only one thought comes to mind. It’s not the much-deserved break, it’s not the holidays —

It’s Quiddity Issue 14!

Our latest issue deals with a variety of themes— the natural world, exploration of identity, and the power of emotions — and yet feels cohesive in its overwhelming discussion of connections. These connections can be found in glass christmas ornaments, a bite of red velvet cake, or an old photograph of a lost love, to name a few. We really enjoyed examining all the wonderful work submitted by you, our great readers. You make this literary magazine possible, and we can’t thank you enough.

The process to compile this issue was no easy feat— chairs were thrown, staff was banished, and passing professors quaked in fear. But we persevered, even in the face of hectic schedules, a lack of resources (i.e. food) for the launch party, and that one joke someone made about doing a Timothee Chalamet in Bones and All to make up for it. (We’re creatives, Ryan, not cannibals.)

All in all, we think the issue was worth the effort put forth by both staff and the Arcadia  community. We even included, for the first time ever, a vibey Spotify playlist to accompany the issue. I mean, come on– A for effort.

We hope you enjoy Issue #14! Look for us to write all of our editor’s letters to sparkle with this much personality  from now on, unless Ryan says no come spring.

Sincerely,

Ryland and Julianna
