Jewel Miller is a Junior Media and Communications student with a concentration in multimedia publishing and a minor in Creative Writing. Despite being a comms major, she is passionate about exploring all things writing and photography, and tries to incorporate both in her study. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks (preferably ones where she can look at trees), going on adventures with her friends, and spending time with her cat and dog.  In addition to their writing in this issue, Jewel is responsible for the cover image and the artwork accompanying “Italy, ‘21,” “Glass Butterfly,” “Home,” and “The Chairlift Ascends at Night.”   

Sydney Howse is a junior majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and minoring in History. She loves fantasy novels, especially anything with dragons in it, but can also be found reading and writing some other things too. She grew up in Texas, but does not consider herself a Texan by any means.

Ryan Everleth is a first year creative writing major and an aspiring novelist with a soft spot for short stories and flash fiction.

Jasmine Cubbage is a 3rd year majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in International Studies. She loves traveling and films, much of which is reflected in her writing. She mostly writes short novels and is always looking for inspiration, so if you have any book recommendations, let her know!

Ryland McGinniss is a sophomore History and English major with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. He loves to do advocacy work whenever he can, and honestly you'll probably see some of that reflected in his writing. When he's not busy with writing, he listens to music and one of his most prized possessions is his concert t-shirt collection.

Danita Mapes is a senior Media and Communication major and has been writing since she first learned how to. When she’s not reading or writing, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and taking care of her many plants. 

Alexi Terris is a senior English major at Arcadia University.  Alexi is responsible for the artwork accompanying “Opacarophile,” “Guidelines,” “red velvet cake,” and “A Few Miles South on the Highway.” 

Ryan Hiemenz is a senior Media and Communications major with a concentration in Multimedia Publishing and a minor in Creative Writing. Currently, he is a CTLM fellow on the communications team, the Layout Manager for The Compass, the Editor-in-Chief of Arcadia University’s literary magazine Quiddity, and the Co-Editor-in-Chief for Loco Mag, a Philadelphia lifestyle and culture magazine. Ryan enjoys spending his free time reading, writing poetry, and hyper fixating on specific film directors until he’s watched everything in their filmography. 

Molly Jones is a sophomore English major with a concentration in creative writing. She focuses on short horror and speculative fiction, with an emphasis on working-class literature. 

Julianna Reidell is a sophomore English and French major at Arcadia University. Her work won Gold and Silver medals in the national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition during high school; her humor piece “Love with Romeo and Juliet: A Parody” was featured in the Scholastic publication Best Teen Writing of 2019. Her work can be found on the teen humor website The Milking Cat and in former issues of Quiddity

Gianna Trusello is a freshman at Arcadia University studying biology who uses writing as a recreational outlet. Her writing draws on her own experiences and is influenced heavily by her admiration of all things related to nature.  

Carly Maloney is a Junior English major and a reader for Quiddity.  She enjoys reading and occasionally writing, but also enjoys trying to be creative in day-to-day life.  As someone who is very interested in editing, she is excited for the opportunity to read others’ writing, both creative and technical, fiction and nonfiction.  She also enjoys art and music.  Carly is responsible for the artwork accompanying “From My Father’s Point of View,” “object,” “Pre-Test Ritual,” “What I Wanted You To Take Away,” and “Accompaniment: Or, the Piano Player and All Her Friends.”  

Kyle Hiemenz is currently a freshman at Moravian University, pursuing a career in photography. He plans to finish his higher education with an photography/studio art degree. He is responsible for the artwork accompanying the Contributors Page, “So It Goes,” and “Whenever You’re Ready.”
