Presumptuous and Proud / I am my Blood
dylan buried my brain stem in the woods
he left my womb for me but i didn’t want it
i hid it in the sheets of his bed watched the blood as it soaked through
it for a moment before i ran back to my street and
like a dumb dog jumped into the fire for warmth
licked at my wounds and i burned through to the nerve
cleaned my skin raw ridding myself of any loss
girls so red and unclean scorched down to nothing
can get presumptuous some things just aren’t worth knowing
