International SOS is our medical and security assistance provider. They can provide country safety information, general health alerts, individual health-need referrals, and even help arrange doctor appointments. If they help you with a doctor’s appointment or you request a Guarantee of Payment in advance of going to a doctor of hospital, they will work with Cigna on the back-end to arrange that coverage. We will support you through the best way to seek appropriate local care including when to engage International SOS.

Arcadia Abroad provides students with comprehensive insurance that covers 100% of medically neccessary care at 100% with no copays or deduactibles.
Medically necessary care includes emergency care, doctors visits for sickness or injury, and mental healthcare. What's not covered are routine health visits (eye exams, dental cleanings, etc.), certain medications (acne medications, birth control, etc.), and a few other exclusions.
In addition to medical coverage, your insurance policy has limited travel benefits, including a visit by a family member or friend should you be hospitalised for more than 72 hours.

In some circumstances, you may need to pay for your services up front and file a claim for reimbursement. You can use the Insurance Claim Guide to assist you with submitting your claim. Reimbursements typically are issued within 60 days.
Coverage Dates
Coverage Dates
The insurance policy provides coverage for the duration of your program, plus 14 additional days to be used immediately before or after your program. Coverage extends to any country outside of the US or your home country.
