By Maribella Alonso and Solomon Odekunle
JROTC MISSION:
"To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens"
The U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) is one of the largest character development and citizenship programs for youth in the world. The U.S. Army’s JROTC program currently operates in more than 1,700 public and private high schools, military institutions, and correctional centers throughout the United States and overseas. Kenmore Garfield High school is one of the schools that form part of U.S Army Junior.
One of our highlights of high school is going to ROTC competitions. Being an ROTC member is more than discipline and drills, Is about Helping each other become better citizens and individuals respectively.
We are like a family, we Respect each other's point of view, I will strongly suggest ROTC to any freshmen or eight grader coming to high school to join this Program.
If students would like to join this class and be part of this group, Talk to the assigned principal if he can assign it according to the students academy or councilor.
