I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I have taught with Albuquerque Public Schools for 15 years as a teacher and also in leadership roles. In the couple of years, I have transitioned into the Educational Technology Department at APS as a Technology Resource Teacher. I'm a Google Certified Educator Level 1 & 2 as well as as Google Certified Trainer, Apple Teacher, Common Sense Media Educator and Common Sense Media Ambassador, an Inspearational Teacher, a Seesaw Ambassador, EdPuzzle Coach, Screencastify Screencaster Master and ISTE Certified Educator.
I am a teacher by day, a mom by night and a Sunday School teacher on the weekends. I am an enthusiastic, caring educator whose primary goal is to never stop growing as a teacher. I love to incorporate a variety of different educational methodologies into teaching while still maintaining my own “voice.” I love to create hands-on activities that engage and excite students, especially when they challenge students to grow. At my core I am highly motivated, driven and determined. I am not afraid to implement a pilot program or to try something "outside the box" to find a better solution when something is not working. I pride myself on redefining and expanding my experience to be a better teacher each and every year. I love to incorporate technology into the classroom and I feel this is an increasingly important skill every student needs.
