7th Grade Gifted-Enriched English Language Arts
The living nature of our English language is the theme of seventh grade gifted-enriched language and literature. The history of our language's development and the key figures of that history are the threads that bind the tapestry of this course. Played against this tapestry are the writing process, spelling, vocabulary, literary analysis, and general communications skills. Through intense writing exercises, and lively literary debate, students are encouraged to find their voice and to value the power of the written word. All genres of writing will be explored as student's work to increase their ability to express themselves with power and clarity.
