Art 1

Art 1 – Course Description

Art 1 introduces students to the foundations of studio art. The students will learn about the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design, as they explore a variety of art concepts, historical movements and creative materials. In Art , we encourage the students to be curious and to experiment as they examine their own questions, experiences & observations with all of their senses. This kind of inquiry, this 'searching' for underlying explanations, allows the students to invent; to visualize something of personal importance, something they would possibly like to share.
