Officially established by artist Ju Ming on September 19, 1999, it is the largest outdoor art museum in Taiwan and is located at No. 2 Xishi Lake, Jinshan District, New Taipei City. The original site was originally used by Ju Ming to place large-scale sculptures. As the number of works increased, Ju Ming came up with the idea of establishing an art museum.
Ju Ming, whose real name is Chu Chuan Tai, is a Taiwanese sculptor. In the early days, he was famous for his sculptures with local themes, such as "cows" and "shepherd boys". Recently, he has become famous for his modern sculptures that incorporate Chinese philosophy such as "Tai Chi", whose works combine the spirit of traditional wood carving and modern sculpture, embodying Eastern spirituality in their expression, and gradually develop a unique style that transcends both.
