Thursday morning, we hosted our International Children's Day party at the U.S. Border at Sasabe, AZ. We had been told that 48 Sasabe students, staff and parents would be coming, so we were thrilled when over 80 crossed the border! We had a lot of fun doing crafts, sharing our talents, and eating lunch together, but our favorite part was giving out the school supplies and treat bags. They were so grateful for everything, and we loved seeing their big smiles!
We enjoyed another tasty lunch at the Arivaca Schoolhouse, and learned what it would have been like to attend a one room school. Then we had a blast riding horses and eating dinner at Rancho de la Osa, followed by a wagon ride, story-telling and star-gazing at Tammie's parents. It was a long, busy, amazing day!
