Definition of a school visitor: Someone who has a planned reason for their visit.
All visitors must enter through door #1 and proceed to the office. If there are students present in the building, you are a visitor.
Visitor Check-in Process through Lobbyguard:
Photo taken.
Driver's license or state ID scanned.
Visitor badge printed.
Your visitor badge must be worn while in the building.
Visitors must sign out before leaving by returning your badge to the office.
The office staff will scan you out.
Administration meetings must be pre-planed. You can stop in and make an appointment or call the front office.
Classroom visits must be pre-planned with your child's teacher. This includes before and after school.
Lunch visits are not available at RES this year.
If you need to pick up or drop off your child, during the school day, park your vehicle in the parking lot. Please do not park along the yellow curb. Each time a student leaves or comes into school, during school hours, they must be escorted by a parent or guardian. This adult is required to sign them in or out of school.
If your child is coming in after school has begun or during the school day:
Call the school office any time that your child will be late for school.
Park your car in the lot, not along the yellow curb.
Parent/Guardian must accompany the student into school to sign them in.
If you are picking a child up early:
Notify your child's teacher with a written note. Pre-plan to assure that your child will be ready to leave.
If you are unable to pre-plan, call the school office as soon as you can to let us know .
When choosing a time to arrive at RES, allow time for your child to be called and packed up.
We will not call for your child until you are present to pick them up. It is too difficult for a teacher to watch the clock while they are instructing.
Park your car in the lot, not along the yellow curb.
Come into the office to sign your child out.
Parent/Guardian must sign the student out before leaving.
We understand that changes in pick up arrangements occur from time to time. Our office staff will assist you to make sure that students get home safely.
Consistent pick up routines are the safest option for students. Last minute changes cause confusion, classroom disruptions and often cause other students to leave school late.
If your child will be going home from school with a friend or another adult:
By car, we need a written note from you, the morning of . The note needs to be given to the teacher and then sent to the office for a stamp. If we have any questions or the process has not been properly followed, be ready to answer a phone call for verification.
By bus for emergencies only, students are required to have a BUS PASS that has been filled out, by an adult and turned into the office. Once we have the pass, we will stamp it and return to the classroom teacher. Students must give the pass to the bus driver at the time of loading.
Do not email your child's teacher, during the day, to tell them about dismissal changes. Teachers may not have the opportunity to check their email during teaching.
All last minute changes must be done via phone call to the school office.
