Bus Transportation

RIDING THE BUS

Students who live beyond 1 mile of school qualify for busing.

When will I know my bus information:

• Eligible families must request a bus

  • Bus information will be sent, via email, late August

• If the email does not contain the correct information, call transportation right away.

  • You may need to submit paperwork to correct the problem prior to school starting.

  • No corrections will be made during the first week of school so you want to make sure to flag the problem right away.

Transportation Distances and Non-Busing Areas

District #196 provides transportation to elementary school students living 1 mile or more from their school.

WHEN YOUR CHILD IS NOT COMING/GOING FROM YOUR HOME   

• If your child attends daycare or has an alternate bus schedule, complete this form

• The form needs to be completed every year & each time there is a change in your child's schedule

• Call the school office with any questions

CHIILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RIDE DIFFERENT BUSES HOME FOR ANY REASON.

If you feel your family is in a special situation, you can contact Mr. Idstrom in advance.

Fee for Transportation Option is available to:

• Students living within the walking area of their attendance area school.

• Students attending a daycare located within the walking area of the school

The Fee-For-Service Transportation Option is Not Available to:

• Intra district transfer students.

• Open enrolled students.
