Mia Battistone has been teaching at EVHS since it opened in 1997 and has had the privilege of advising the Eastview FCCLA Chapter since 2006. During this time the chapter has consistently won many awards at the local, state, and national levels. These awards include placing 1st in Job Interview, 3rd in Teach and Train, and 10th and 11th in Promote and Publicize FCCLA! at NLC, in 2022.  Placing 4th in Instructional Video Design, 6th in Leadership, and 5th in Nutrition and Wellness at NLC in 2023. Ms. Battistone was awarded MN Advisor of the Year in 2009 and Spirit of Advising in 2018 as well as Master Advisor in 2018. 

She is also active as a Family and Consumer Science teacher being part of the MAFCS Board as President-Elect 2023-24, Vice-President of Education 2022-23, and Vice-President Elect. Education-2021-2022 as well as an active member of the MN FCCLA Board of Directors for the past 4 years. Mia is also a Mentor Teacher in the CTE-TIP (Teacher Induction program) helping support Family and Consumer Science teachers who are new to the teaching profession. She is an avid supporter of FCS and FCCLA.
