DT Nation Dance Company

What is DT Nation? DT Nation is a dance company located in Mount Pleasant North Carolina, behind the CCMP Church. They provide recreational and competition classes to everyone, and you are able to choose which genre of dance you want to dance, learn, and perform. Dance genres you are able to choose from vary from Hip-Hop to Jazz, Tumble, Lyrical, Ballet and even more. A part of dance that everyone loves is the costumes. They're always draped with fabric or covered with sequins and rhinestones, and sometimes you even have heels, flats, or you can even be barefoot depending on your type of dance. Every year all dancers come together at the Mount Pleasant Highschool to perform their dances in front of parents, family members, and friends.

As one of those dancers I am a part of acro classes which is a type of dance including flips like cartwheels, backhandsprings and way more complicated tricks throughout the dance. When we first start class we always stretch first so we do not hurt ourselves while learning new tricks and choreography. A fun thing we do every year is we have a theme to influence our dances, making them all connected in a way and this year the theme is “Around The World” so we are creating dances based off of different countries. My class was chosen to perform a dance, referencing Arabia so we decided to create a dance almost based off of the Disney movie Aladdin. We chose a song from the movie so we are dancing to “Arabian Night” to really represent that we were inspired to base the dance off of Arabia. Our dance is not fully finished but we are completing it with a few turns in twists to surprise the crowd.

Literary Festival

The Mount Pleasant Library in North Carolina had their second Literary Festival on March nineteenth through the twenty first, twenty twenty six and they named it “The Story Unfolds”. The Friends of the Library worked really hard setting up the Literary Festival, they spent so much time finding authors to come and finding new activities for everyone to attend to, they even had a coffee truck outside. The library had all kinds of events happening, including having authors come to talk for an hour and sign their books after, writer’s workshops where an author comes in and teaches you how they set up and wrote their books, storytime, and drawing workshops throughout those three days the festival lasted.

Many authors came, ranging from children authors, fantasy authors, comic book writers, and well known authors like S.A. Cosby and Kate Quinn. S.A. Cosby closed up the Mount Pleasant Literary Festival with being the very last speaker of the event. Listening to S.A. Cosby was really interesting and fun, he was really funny and I loved listening to his life story and how he became an author. I also loved his advice on how to never give up on your writing even if it is rejected fifty times because he went through so many publishers before one agreed to submit his work to the world. I attended three Author Talks, S.A. Cosby being one and I attended Hope Larson and Beth Revis’s events, they were all very interesting and inspiring in their own ways. The Mount Pleasant Literary Festival is truly a once in a lifetime event that is free and an absolutely guaranteed fun and interesting event if you love to read or write.

March Madness is the annual NCAA college basketball tournament between 68 teams.

On March 19th 2026, the Duke Blue Devils beat the Siena Saints recording a score of 65-71. Duke’s key player towards their victory was Cameron Boozer. Recording 22 points, 13 rebounds, 1 block, and 5 turnovers. But for Siena recording 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 turnover ,and 4 personal fouls. On March 22nd 2026 St Johns Red Storms beat the Kansas Jayhawks 67-65 by a game winning layup on the buzzer. Dylan darling made the game winning layup, he played for 18 minutes recording 2 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 2 turnovers , and 0 personal fouls. On March 29th 2026. On March 29th 2026. UConn beat Duke 73-72 with a game winning shot from the logo with 0.4 seconds left in the game sending the Huskies to the final four. The freshman responsible is named Braylon Mullins who recorded 10 points 1 rebound and four personal fouls. In my opinion , Michigan has absolutely dominated the tournament. So was Duke before they were eliminated.
