Hello and welcome to Powdersville High School. My name is Blake Edwards and I will be the school counselor for students with the last name O-Z. This is my eighth year at Powdersville, but my ninth year in education. Previously, I was a 9th-grade counselor at Summerville High School in Summerville, SC. I came back to the upstate since this area is where my wife, Emily Mangum Edwards, and I want to live and raise our future family. I got married to my beautiful wife in a ceremony held in her hometown on June 29, 2013.

I was born and raised in Summerville, SC and graduated from Summerville High School in 2002 before earning my Bachelors Degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from Clemson University in 2006. I received a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Clemson in 2008. I earned my certification in School Counseling from Clemson in 2011. I am familiar with Anderson 1 as I did my practicum and internships in counseling at Wren High School and worked with several former Wren faculty members, who are now at Powdersville.

I look forward to working with you and your student as I begin my ninth year at PVHS.
