IGP conferences

Click on "IGP Video"  below to watch a Virtual IGP Conference.  The video is a discussion of the IGP procedure and the IGP informational PowerPoint.  Please watch the video prior to scheduling an additional conference.  All students will have a conference with their counselor.  It's the additional optional parent conference that requires a parent to sign up for a time.  The video is designed to answer frequently asked questions. During the IGP conference, we would discuss your student's progress towards graduation and classes for next year along with any additional questions you may have.

• Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) conferences are meetings held with students to discuss the student's future plans and classes for the next school year.  An additional parent meeting may be scheduled.  Instructions on how to request this meeting will be sent out in March.

• January- March 2025: 

*Counselors release an informational video that covers various topics such as graduation requirements, college information, and course selections for next school year.

*Students will complete a Google Form to request their elective courses. Parent(s)/guardian(s) are strongly encouraged to assist in completing this form.  We recommend that students review course descriptions to assist in their selections.  Completing this Google Form is like your rough draft.  You'll have an opportunity to edit these requests through meeting with your counselor.  Completing the form prior to your meeting helps students and their counselor prepare for the meeting.

*Counselors then meet with students individually.  We'll discuss your college/career plans and classes for the next year.

• March 2025

*Students and parents/guardians will receive access to the student's course requests.

*Parents/guardians will be able to approve or change course requests:

1. I agree with the classes selected.

2. I would like to make changes (enter the specific change).

3. I would like a conference with my student's counselor.  Parent conferences are completely optional. These conferences will occur in March.  Parents that select this option will receive a link to select a specific date/time. **Please watch the video prior to scheduling a conference.  The video is designed to answer frequently asked questions.  With the amount of information available in the presentation and online, these optional conferences are intended to be more of a follow up meeting for specific questions.  Appointment slots are typically 15 minutes.

• May 2025:

*Students/parents/guardians will receive final copy of course requests for verification.

*It is very important that students and parents/guardians review course requests in May.  Students are much more likely to receive the classes that they desire if we know the correct classes prior to making schedules over the summer.  Changing classes after the creation of the Master Schedule and individual student schedules may mean that we're not able to make the change that you want due to the time classes are offered or class sizes.
