Mr. B’s Scholarship Opportunity
Mr. B's Scholarship is a scholarship set up to honor the memory of Mr. David Bridges, who taught many years at both Wren and Powdersville Middle Schools. Mr. Bridges died unexpectedly in September, 2024 from leukemia. His family set up this scholarship fund to help a graduating male student at Powdersville or Wren High School to further his education, through technical school, college, or university. The $1500 scholarship will be presented at the recipient's high school's award ceremony.
Objective/Purpose: To recognize and honor a male student who wishes to further his education
Eligibility: Must take college-prep courses & must be ranked in the top 40% of class academically
Procedures: Students complete this application.
The selection will be based on following: Academic Achievement, Leadership Activities, Student Interest/Work Experience, Financial Need, & Response to Essay Question
The scholarship will be awarded after the recipient has enrolled as a freshman at the school of his choice.
